1940's Mystery Revealed

The weekend, that kept going. This was a doozie. While traveling up to my sister Dana's house, we stopped to buy a truck. Not just any truck a Chevy truck?!?! What..... This is to weird for words I mean Big Everett cannot stand Chevrolet. okay weirder things have happened but this one is up there on true conversion or is it settling down? Growing older I think is what we call it, anyways he bought it. We continued on our journey up to Jackson 4 hours after we left, ugh.

We finally arrived to begin a makeover on three beautiful girls to make them appear as if they were straight out of the 40's. Accomplished, and so the party began, but not before the 4 boy cousins were made to look as if they had been beat up while playing croquet in the parlor?!?
Girls ecstatically investigated the crime scene where the boys lie. Off they were to solve the crime. Several clues later and many pieces of evidence it was revealed that the culprits were Miss Sunny Goldson and Miss Peachy Apricotta. Samantha, being Miss Sonny Goldson, not exactly thrilled she was a criminal was given a consolation prize before her and her accomplice were escorted to the local jail.
Did I mention the mystery dinner where Everett was the head waiter, or the treasure hunt. No I did not but that I will leave for another day. Fun was had by all with the hopes that we can recreate this fun for Samantha's 10th. Fond memories of doing this at my 10th birthday years and years ago!
The trip was rounded off by a long trip home with a detour to Oakdale and sliding into home to make salsa for three hours, with the 4-H food preservation group. Followed by a trip downtown to the 4-H meeting, that ended at 8pm. Yes we are tired and I need sleep.
